Where do innovations come from? How can we generate and introduce technological change into existing companies? Why do incumbents struggle to open up new market and technological opportunities? How can we choose between insourcing and one innovation model? In this course you will learn different models and tools to take strategic decisions on managing new technologies, building on economics and management theories and discussing several practices coming from different industries. While particular emphasis will be given to digital technologies, at the end of the course you will be able to assess the extent to which technological specificities condition your options or if they could be reinterpreted to generate value pouring “old wine” in “new bottles”.
