BIO

Gianluca Moro is Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science - Science and Engineering (DISI) at the University of Bologna. He conducts research on data management and data mining in distributed systems such as peer-to-peer networks, grids, ad-hoc, mesh and sensor networks. He is head of research for a project of national interest called Autonomic Security funded by the Ministry of Education, University and Research. He was appointed vice chair of the ACM International Conference on Intelligent Agent Technology. He has written more than fifty scientific articles published by conferences, workshops, books and magazines, has also been editor of five books. He has been invited to be part of more than forty program committees of international conferences and workshops, such as P2P Computing, Globecomm, Data Management in Grid Systems Distributed Computing etc. He has organized several conferences workshops, Very Large Database (VLDB) and Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS). He obtained a degree in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna.

COURSES

The goal of the course unit is to present theoretical and practical aspects of text mining regarding text classification and sentiment analysis & opinion mining.
